MARK HAINES MUSIC

“An ordinary fellow with an ordinary mind.”

“I bought my first Hohner Marine band key of C harmonica at least 50 years ago, Within a few years, I had most of the other keys. I don’t think, back then, I achieved any kind of proficiency.

“I remember being particularly impressed by the playing of Jimmie Fadden of The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. Later on, after many years of neglect, I became interested in the traditional music of the British Isles and America.

“In the last few years, I’ve learned a lot of old tunes. I’ve begun to find little tunes running through my head usually just as I’m waking up in the morning.”
